Apply for 2014-15 Excellence in Education Grants from the RRISD Partners in Education Foundation

This is a guest post from the Round Rock ISD Partners in Education Foundation. The Foundation is an incredible supporter of Round Rock ISD and is excited to announce its Excellence in Education grant opportunities for 2014-2015.

We are happy to invite you to apply for one of the 2014-15 Excellence in Education Grants from the Round Rock ISD Partners in Education Foundation.  The PIE Foundation has been a tremendous partner to our district since 1985. This school year alone, the 32 member, volunteer PIE Foundation Board of Directors gave students and staff $304,600 to pay for programs not funded by traditional tax dollars!

In the coming year, the Foundation plans to fund $65,000 in grants and your fantastic idea could be one of the winners!  Attached you will find everything you need to apply, along with a summary of the 32 funded projects totaling $66,043 that impacted 38 campuses and a total of 15,858 students and teachers in the 2013-14 school year.

Please make note of this very important change.  In order to get funding to educators as early in the school year as possible, winners will be notified on August 19, 2014 and funds will be immediately available. As a result, the deadline for applications has been moved to August 5.  That will allow educators the entire summer and the first week of Summer Professional Development to solidify ideas, finalize plans and submit the streamlined application.

As in past years, grants will be awarded only for grade-level, campus, multi-campus, or district projects. (Grant applications for individual classroom projects will not be accepted.) Grants of up to $5,000 will be awarded to groups of educators and/or administrators to obtain resources and tools that can most significantly and positively impact student achievement and learning.

We look forward to hearing your exciting plans.  Please take advantage of this opportunity to begin planning your application for funding to enhance teaching and learning.

You can also find the application and all supporting documents at http://www.rrisdeducationfoundation.org/  Please feel free to contact the foundation at with any questions and connect with them on Facebook or Twitter.
